A Couple of Questions about Formatting and the Recording Window

New Here ,
Jan 31, 2018 Jan 31, 2018
  1. Is it possible to manually resize the recording window, and if so, how?
  2. Is there a way to set space before/space after a paragraph?
  3. Is there a way to insert a company logo in the top, left of the player?

Thanks,

-Firsed

1. YES.  But only if you are recording screenshots outside of an already existing CPTX file.  If you are trying to add screenshots to an existing project then your recording window will be the same size as the project stage.  This means BEFORE you start any screen recording sessions, you need to know what the size will be of the project where these screen captures will end up.

2. NOT REALLY.  Not if you were hoping for the same kind of paragraph padding that exists in typical Word processing apps like MS Word, or via CSS on a web page.  With Captivate you have to add carriage returns between paragraphs, or else put each paragraph in a separate text box and then move them as needed.

3. YES.  But the space is very limited and you have almost no options for changing that size.

For your third question: are you talking about the TOC or the playbar? I see 'player', thought you meant the playbar.

Why not add the logo to the main master slide?

Regarding question 2:

I sometimes use Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Up/Down on selected text to create space between paragraphs. Not sexy, but lacking real paragraph formating options...

By the way. Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Left/Right gives you kerning (kind of...)
