Adding a shape to a rollover slidelet

New Here ,

Hello everyone,

I am new into Captivate and I have done some online tutorials, which are great. However, I have an issue with a rollover slidelet, I want to add a shape (say, a rectangle) to the slidelet, the cursor is blocked for the whole screen except for the slidelet area, which is good, but when I start to create the shape, the cursor is blocked within the slidelet area and I don't know why... So, I can't create the shape. Has anyone ever crossed with the same situation? I am using Adobe Captivate 9 on Windows. Thank you for your support!

I haven't experienced this particular issue.  But I would be recommending that you forget about using the Rollover Slidelet anyway.  It is not compatible with HTML5 and all courses anyone builds with Captivate from now on should ALL be HTML5 only.  SWF content is Flash and Flash will be dead in the water very soon.  It's a risk you should be avoiding at all cost.

RodWard,

Thank you for your reply. I understand your point of view. I shall look for "tool-tip" alternatives in HTML5 using Captivate. I need to do more research

Best regards,

Daniel

If you are serious about going HTML5 and mobile, rollover tool tips have no purpose in that touch-screen environment.  Think about supplying information when the user clicks or taps something rather than rollovers.
