Adobe 17 Default preferences gone?!

I've just been given access to Adobe 17 and want to set up my default settings.

Within defaults the global preference dropdowns and blank. When I click to restore defaults or create new styles I receive an error message and the programme closes.

Has anyone experienced the same difficulties?

I suspect you posted this in the wrong forum? There is no Captivate 17, the most recent version is 11.0.1.266.

You will need to be running Captivate with Administrator privileges.  Your issue can sometimes be due to NOT launching the app using Run As Administrator.

Are you perhaps on a locked down corporate network?  Is it possible that your user profile is not on your local PC but on a network LAN server somewhere?

Check your system meets the minimum requirements as well. Adobe Captivate system requirements
