Adobe Animate to Captivate 8?

Engaged ,
Mar 16, 2016 Mar 16, 2016

I know that Adobe Flash is not Adobe Animate and things have changed with the software. I have years of experience with what once was known as Flash. However, things have changed and I have a small learning curve to come up to speed.

Will Adobe Captivate 8 import animated SWFs from Adobe Animate? I exported a swf but can't find it to import. Furthermore, I do not see any import or insert options for anything such file.

I hope someone can direct me in the direction I should go.

Thank you for all your help.

Good news. I just found out how to import the SWF. I simply go to the Media/Animation and then select the SWF.

Indeed, but I prefer to export as OAM from Animate CC and insert as HTML

animation.

Wow! Something new for me to learn. What is OAM and how does inserting it into HTML to Captivate work?

OAM is 'Animate Deploying Package', pure HTML animation (small) that can be inserted into Captivate using same Media button, HTML animation. That makes it also compatible with HTML5 output.
