I currently have Adobe Captivate 11.0.1 installed. When I navigate to help\check for updates Adobe Captivate Updater shows 11.0.1 and states, "No New Updates", and "Your app is already up to date". However, 11.5.0 should be showing up. How can one update Captivate without using the Updater?

Was Captivate installed by your corporate IT department? If so they may need to be the ones who apply the update.

Hay Paul,
Thanks for reaching out. It was not installed by our IT department; however, they do put a ton of restrictions on our software. The good news is that I have administrative privileges. I'm guessing an uninstall and reinstall is in order to correct this glitch so I'll try that latter today.

Hi, When I tried to update it last week, it did not offer me 11.5.0. Now it is offering it. It mat be prudent to wait a day rather than go through the process of reinstalling. I cannot account for the delay but see it working now just as I was about to troubleshoot:

By the sound of those 50-year-old tapes, I think they may have had a better connection than I do.
It may also be (I am not sure, but it makes sense) that launching Captivate 11.1 for a certain amount of time makes the updater subsequently available. I got the 11.5 updater offered the day after I worked for a while on a Captivate project. Others will know better, but I am sticking to that theory unless proven false.
If you do not see the updater, run Captivate for a while and look later for the updater.
