Adobe Captivate 2023 upload to LMS

Hi

I've been using the new Captivate to build an e-learning course. It includes quizzes and assessments. The course is approx 50 pages and includes lots of images. I have manually uploaded this the Adobe Learning Manager and the course runs but it takes over 2 minutes to load once launched and some of the buttons stop working half way through so the learner has to close the course and relaunch it to move forward. I have struggled to upload the course successfully to another LMS so far. So my ask is - how do I improve the learner experience if I continue to use Adobe Learning Manager (is it an issue with how I've published the Captivate file or just slow because of the size of the course?) Or are there any better LMS options out there that would work better than Adobe with a large scorn file?

Thank you

New Captivate is also slow for me, compared with Captivate Classic.

I would double-check on SCORM Cloud to see if the issue is the same? You mention the number of slides and 'lot of images', but it is really the output file size which is important. Audio and video clips would add a lot more to that size than images, and 50 slides is not that big. Of course New Captivate is meant for responsive projects only, and you need to be careful with file size. Which format do the images have? Did you create them with a size appropriate, or just uploaded them and resized them in Captivate?

Hi thanks for the suggestion. I have uploaded to Scorm Cloud and having similar issues. The content takes a couple of minutes to load once launched and the course 'hangs' on some slides where the button doesn't move to the next slide when it should. I think this means the issue is with Captivate but I don't know how to fix it. When I preview in Captivate it works fine.

Sorry, I am still waiting for the promised New Captivate experts in this forum. As moderator I try to help but in my jobs I still use the more to be trusted version 11.5.5.553. Responsive projects are not wanted by my clients, but they request more control over design and interactions than is possible in version 12.

The most recent version is 12.2.0.19. Is that your version?

Can you check the file size of the output folder? Is it big?

I heard about issues with Next buttons multiple times. Do you have other triggers than that button on the slide, like bookmarks used as triggers?

The zip file is 480Mb - not enormous! I updated to the latest version (thank you for that!). I have now managed to launch the course but when my colleague tried he opened it on a larger screen and it has reformatted and is unreadable. Seems to only open well on a laptop screen...this product is just so difficult to work with.

To me for a responsive project it is rather huge. New Captivate is only for responsive projects.

The desktop basic resolution is rather low if you open it on a big monitor with high resolutions.  Can you explain better about what happens? The problem is not due to a laptop/desktop difference but to the used resolution and display percentage. If you expect the majority of your users to be on laptop/desktop I would never recommend a responsive project. That is the reason why I continue to use 11.5.5.553 for my clients (companies). Classic Captivate 11.8) is buggy and took out useful features.

When the project is opened on a larger screen and not a laptop it displays it as though it had opened on a phone and resizes things to promote scrolling rather than displaying them as they look in Captivate or on a laptop screen.
