Adobe Captivate Versions And LMS

Explorer ,
Sep 02, 2016 Sep 02, 2016

Hi All, let's say I have a created project created in Captivate 7 that is uploaded to an LMS and I am told some changes need to be made to the course and I now have Captivate 9. Within our LMS Silkroad Greenlight, we can take the course object out and replace it with an updated one after changes have been made. Let's say we made these new changes in Captivate 9 and the original course was created in Captivate 7, will the new course object after uploading to the LMS effect the course reporting or performance?

Thanks,

I've been editing and republishing my Adobe Captivate projects over the last 6 or 7 years. For example, I have editing Cp5 project files with Cp6, Cp6 files with 7 and so on. I have never had any problems. In fact I have gained improvements with the upgraded features. For example, being able to have knowledge checks and multi-state objects with Cp9.

Incidentally, many of the update versions that have come out have fixed bugs and improved performance so you may find that your courses run smoother.

Just make sure you use the same eLearning publishing settings as what worked for you before (i.e. SCORM, AICC, xTAPI)
