Adobe Mouse Cursors (Pointers)

New Here ,
Jun 16, 2009 Jun 16, 2009

I am writing because I just encountered a "problem" with Captivate and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I've been working on some Adobe InDesign software simulation modules and Captivate isn't showing the correct mouse cursors (pointers) on the pointer paths.

This is especially crucial when dealing with other Adobe applications that have such a wide array of mouse cursors for each tool.

Do you know if Adobe has published a set of "Adobe cursors" to use with Captivate?  If not, would you recommend a way of working around it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Once the recording is done, you can double click on the mouse-item.

This will give you a form, where you can browse and choose the mouse cursor you want for that slide.

Thanks for your answer!

I know that is how I can change the cursors, but in the selections from where I could choose from there are none of the mouse pointers I need to use.

I am specifically looking for the Adobe tools mouse pointers, to work with Adobe software simulations.

For example: the pen tool pointer from Photoshop, the line tool pointer in Illustrator, or the text tool pointer in InDesign, among many others.

What I do when my mouse pointer is not available in the library, open the project you are working on, record a couple of slides and making sure that the steps you take include the specific mouse.

Then you will find that new mouse pointer in the library for that particular project.

(and delete those slides afterwards, if you don't need them).

Cheers, Helga

(PS this worked for me for SAP products.)
