I am trying to create a new advanced action. I have multiple actions that have one or two slight differences. It appears that I have to create each action from scratch each time. I would think that the "Create from" field would let me create a new action based on an existing (I have a number of them already), but this field only shows "Blank".... Any ideas of a workaround to make this happen (create an action based on an existing one)?
Create from will only open the shared actions templates, which you can indeed use to create a new advanced action. Check my blog for articles about shared actions.
However for advanced actions, you can duplicate an action, change its name, and edit it. Do not forget to Update the action.

Thanks, Rod and Libybirl - That was exactly what I was looking for! I appreciate it... not sure how I missed that. Thanks!

There's a Duplicate button in the upper right corner of the Advanced Actions dialog.
There's also the option of turning one of your existing Advanced Actions into a Shared Action and specifying certain fields as parameters that just need to be filled in when you use the Shared Action as an instance.
