I am trying to create an aggregator project in Adobe Captivate 8. As soon as I try to add the first .swf file, it crashes before adding the file. Can anyone help please?

Try setting the Aggregator exe file to launch with Run As Administrator privileges.

Also, make sure that ALL of the SWF files you are trying to add to the project are created with Captivate 8.  You should not be mixing SWFs from different versions.

Many thanks for your suggestions Rodward. All my SWF files are created using Captivate 8 and I also tried the aggregator with administrator privileges. It still crashes.

Hi there,

Can you please try adding the  published .swf location in flash player security settings and see it helps. Please find below for the security settings link.

Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel

Thanks,

Nimmy Sukumaran

Hi Nimmy,

Thanks for your tip. I have added the location and files but I am still getting the same result. The application is still crashing.

Try resetting your Preferences folder and Clear Cache.

If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall Captivate.

Thanks Rodward. I have tried clearing cache and resetting preferences but even that did not help. Looks like I will have to re install. All your help is much appreciated.
