Animations not transferring when publishing presentations

Heyo eLearning Community,

I am using Captivate 9 and having a problem with animations transferring over to the PDF. When I preview the slide in Captivate it looks great, but for some reason the animations will not carry over to the PDF. I checked the timeline and it looks in order. Additionally, some of the animations that do transfer over and misplaced. Is there something easy I am missing?

Thanks for your time!

Which exact version number? Latest version is 9.0.2.437.

What do you mean exactly by 'animation'? Is this an imported animation, if yes, a SWF or a HTML animation?

Do you know that an interactive PDF is using Flash? Which Adobe Reader are you using to test?

Obviously I'm a captivate newb. By Animation I mean an Effect under the Timing tab. I believe the problem is they aren't playing automatically, it's requiring the user to hit a play button, however the Skin Editor will be disabled.

I am using 9.0.0.223.

Can you please upgrade to 9.0.2.437? You missed a lot of patches which are fixing bugs.

Effects play automatically, no need to click a Play button at all. After upgrading, can you check again?

I repeat my last question: which Adobe reader do you use for testing, and is the Flash plugin installed?

Lily,

Thanks for your time by the way. I have updated my Captivate, unfortunately my corporate HQ are sticklers about updating Adobe reader, currently I am using version 10.1.9

After updated Captivate, the problem is still persisting.

That is a old one. I don't remember if it has Flash player built in, but if it has it will probably be an old version. That could explain, not sure at all. I'm not able to double-check that type of situations as you probably understand.

Did you try again after updating Captivate?

I have created a few presentations in that have effects in them, for some reason with this new project none of them will show when I publish. So I know at least that our Adobe Reader will do the effects. After updating captivate I retried and still no luck.
