Audio continues to play even after closing tab - HTML5 publish Captivate 9.02

Working on a project where I have:

#1 - Inserted a podcast mp3 on a slide

#2 - Inserted an mp4 video clip on a slide

#3 - Used the web object to embed a Captivate 9.02/HTML5 file hosted on our web server

The problem Im having is that when I publish the file and view it in Google Chrome, the audio of the embedded Captivate continues to play even after  naviagate to another slide or close the browser tab altogether.

Any ideas?

1/2:

Are you ensuring that there is a timing gap on the slide before and after the audio?

Without this gap, Cp will attempt to build a single output of the audio files and occasionally cause glitches.

3:

You might try displaying this content in a new window with 'exit' when finished, and pause the course when the popup is launched.

Thanks BDuckWorks  I can confirm that the issue isn't the podcast added as an audio file, it's the captivates embedded as web objects.  When I go to a page with a web object I see the loading graphic and then it starts to play on its own.  I unchecked the AutoPlay box but it still does it.  Will check to see how it functions when published.  I did add in the extra space at the beginning of the slide.

Are you inserting the video as event video? In that case it is playing independently from Captivate Insert it as a multislide video and it will be controlled by Captivate. You didn't tell how you inserted the audio clip.

@BDuckWorks your workaround is to prevent that slide audio is cut off, or playing on the next slide (one of the questions) but since it also happens when project is closed, I doubt it is slide audio.

I do have an MP4 video in the project added using the same MEDIA > VIDEO function but it's not causing any playback issues - it's the published html5 captivates or Animates inserted using the web object.
