After recording audio in playback there is like an echo of the same audio with a few seconds delay. How do you get rid of that

Sounds like you may have the same audio clip attached to an object on the slide as well as the slide itself.
Find the audio track in the Library and check the Usage to see if it is only used once. Check all objects on the slide to see if any have audio attached.

I recently upgraded to Captivate 9. I'm facing the same issue. I have a .wav file which I've imported and using it as a background audio. When I publish the project in a html/swf format there's no echo. However, in a .mp4 format, there's an echo in beats. I checked for file duplication in Audio Management>Show object level audio to see if there's another copy of the .wav file. Appreciate your help. Cheers.

Not really answering your question. Can you check the version number? Last
week a patch (solving also audio issues) was released to 9.0.1.320.
