One of the clients I work for, runs Adobe captivate 8.
I would like to install version 8 on my laptop as well so we can exchange projectfiles.
Is it possible to subscribe to version 8 with some sort of retroactive effect?
Say, starting July 2015 with the chance to upgrade to 9 until August 2016?
There seems to be no telephone number I can call.
Everything navigates to 'ask the forum'.
Please help.
Hi Myrax,
If you have or get a subscription to Captivate, then you should be able to run the older version if you want to, and upgrade whenever is convenient for you...

Hi just to view this from another angle:
If I understand the way subscription works I can always upgrage to the latest version at no extra charge. But on the Adobe website is looks like there is an upgrade fee. Is that fee only for the perpetual version? IF i'm already subscribed I can just download the file to run 9 and there will be no bill wierdness where i'm charged for 2 subscriptions.
Is that right?

Yes, exactly. With Adobe subscriptions, all upgrades or downgrades are included and you can run any recent version - but the software requires an active subscription to run.
With Adobe standalone or perpetual licenses, the software is static and upgrades cost extra - but the software does not expire.

Please see the previous reply, just above yours...
The direct download links still work, but you must carefully follow the download instructions there first.
