I'm a very new user to Captivate and am editing the drag and drop interactions on a number of slides. On one day, the OK button on 'Set Correct Answers'. will add the new rows or answer sets I've entered, The next day, I try to do the same thing and nothing happens when hit OK - no error, just sits there until I cancel. I can't tell what factor I've introduced to cause this to happen.
Any ideas?
Thanks - Steve Rothenberg

Are you using the wizard or the D&D panel? You cannot use all type of objects for drag sources nor drop targets. Which objects did you use? And please, tell which version you use?

I'm using the D&D panel, and its 9, forgot to mention it first time. Using text captions as drag sources and smart shapes as drop targets

Sorry for a late reply, not always connected at this moment.
Text captions and shapes shouldn't be a pronlem. When using the D&D panel, can you explain in detail when exactly the OK button didn't result? Was it after pointing to the drag sources, the targets, or when linking them together? The objects should not be grouped. I also learned that you cannot change the name of any object after assigning the links, or you'll lose the links.

Thanks for the information, and between your help and others I think I have what I need to know!

I took out your personal credentials, this is a public forum and not everyone is well intentioned (spam).
Please could you briefly explain the solution? For the sake of other users.?

Thank you for that.
I will post a fuller explanation (which I'm sure will show my ignorance) after I have a chance to test more thoroughly.

Hi Steve,
The problem could be, your Drag and drop matching on slide is not in sync with the matches set in "Set Correct Answers". You might see the warning icon as similar to the image i have attached with this post. So please find such an entry and delete that row or correct the matching.
The above conditions might be happening to you when you try to delete a drop target or drag source from the DND configured slide.
Thanks

The problem I was having was almost certainly due to having some deleted drag sources and drop targets that were affecting the behavior of new drop targets and drag sources that I had added.
