Hi guys
Another question from my (very frustrating) initial usage experience......I've tried to create a simple caption with a white fill that I can resize as I like.
I have two issues:
1) I can't seem to see an option for a white fill (only ivory)
2) when I try and use the ivory option as a poor second option I can't resize the caption - it forces me to make it a size of 68 units of height (when I use the px option).
I've checked online and have found that these predefined captions cannot be resized smaller than their minimum size, but what am I to do if I want one that is white (not ivory) and furthermore one that I can resize to be small (say 30px)?
Do I again have to create this in powerpoint??

Use a shape as text container and check margins.

Thanks for that - can I ask is there a manual I could refer to? Or am I just going via the help menus, forums and internet?

If you ever used a graphics applications, shapes are very simple to use. They can be text container, in CP8 also used for feedback messages (Success, Failure, Hint), and they can be used as a button, only interactive object that you can use on master slides, question slides and that can be timed for the rest of the project.
There should be something in the Help, but I rarely use that Help because it is not really going in depth. Because it is pretty straightforward, everything is in the Properties panel, I never blogged about simple shapes, only about shape buttons.
