Can't download trial version of Captivate 9 - issues with Akami Download Manager - please help

I've used Adobe Captivate in the past without issue and need to download version 9 to introduce the software to a new team I'm managing

I've successfully installed the Akami download manager and attempted to start the download for the trial.  The manager window opens but both dowload files are merely labelled as 'waiting' with no other links, options or functionality available. It's as if it's frozen.

I've worked through the troubleshooters for 'downloading trials' and the 'Akami download manager' itself with no success.

My system specs are suitable, using IE11 to download, over a hard line, cache/pop up and security settings all extremely lax... Nothing works.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the download manager and tried restarting the trial download a dozen times (for which I even get a welcome email telling me the clock is ticking on the trial) but each time it's the same story.

Has anyone else had this problem???

Thanks very much Ned

Another speed bump however.

I managed to successfully download and launch the installer for the trial version.  Now when selecting a file location for the 4GB of installer material the installer doesn't respond... at all.

I get a basic permissions window (this happens often on my machine) which I agree to.  No other errors or prompts.  Nothing happens.

Any thoughts?
