I am trying to insert a video file. It is a Mp4. I even put in into the Adobe Media encoder and then inserted into a slide. I cant get it to play in chrome browser once published. I have tried an FLV file as well. I even tried creating a shorter mp4 file because i thought maybe the file size was too big but that didnt work either. HELP!

Can you check the exact version number under Help; About ....? The latest version is 9.0.2.437.

Do you publish to SWF or to HTML5? How did you test? Best way to test is to upload to a webserver, or in case of a SCO, to SCORM Cloud.

I have version 9.0.2.437

I have tried publishing as  a SWF and HTML5 and both. I have tried testing by clicking on the HTM and swf files from the zip file i produced and neither will it play the video file. I have also tried uploading to our LMS and it wont play there either. I am publishing as elearning SCORM 1.2.

Do not publish to both SWF and HTML5 at the same time, latest version caused me problems when doing that.

Locally playing the SWF output will need a setup where the local drive is set up as Flash Trusted. You always have to launch the htm file which will call the CSS, JS files and launch the SWF. Do not do that from a zipped folder, you'll have to unzip to test locally. If it is a SCO, which is also a zipped folder, it has to be uploaded to a LMS or SCORM Cloud. Can you try SCORM Cloud, please! It it is not playing there, something is wrong with the Captivate file.

Ok it looks like publishing only as HTML5 works! Thank you!
