Can't move welcome screen

Advocate ,

Starting with Captivate 8, I wasn't able to move the welcome screen in Captivate, the one that says "Recent" and "New" at the top. I still can't move it in Captivate 9. This is annoying because sometimes it overlaps another program or area that I want to be able to see.

Does anyone know a way to make the welcome screen movable?

Maybe they could use their own "3 second display default". Most other applications (EVER) put this info under a "File" menu and it disappears once you make your selection. Why is this different?

It's different because the Adobe UI designers designed it that way and not enough Captivate users protest vigorously about wanting it to work another way instead.

If you feel it should be different, you need to log enhancement requests.  Adobe looks at the volume of such requests as a guide to which features or enhancements might go down well.  But that's still not a guarantee you will get what you want.

Adobe's feature request/bug report form is at www.adobe.com/products.wishform.html

I have a feeling that there are many Captivate users who are annoyed by this limitation, but do not report it because it is not a show-stopper. Nevertheless, these are the types of things that lead people to say that Captivate is buggy because the interface was not well thought out and consistent with other applications..
