When I record a video demo using the remote login tool ---- putty. No matter what resolution I choose, I can't got the clear video. It seems the white characters are shown clearly while the red and blue ones are not.
The screenshot is attached below.
Does anybody know how to resolve this problem? I can get clear video if I choose the 'software simulation' mode instead of 'video demo', but here I have to use 'video demo' for my project.

Check that you have the video demo color mode set to 32 bit in Captivate's Preferences > Recording > Video Demo settings area.
It's set to 16bit by default but this is often too low.

I tried that, but it doesn't work. The video is still quite fuzzy.

The other parts all look good and clear, expect the red and blue characters in the black background. It seems the software can't distinct these colors from black?

I think you may misunderstand my suggestion. Changing the color mode only affects screen captures taken AFTER the change.
So changing the color mode will not change how the current project appears. You need to recapture using the higher color mode to have any chance of see a different result.

What do you mean by 'remote login tool'? I wonder if your problems are not due to something different than the Video Demo settings (which also apply to FMR in software simulations).

Thanks. 'remote login tool' is a tool that I used to login to my virtual machine, just like the cmd below.
I want to record when I issue some command on this interface, but the white characters on this interface look good, while the red and blue ones look quite fuzzy, just like the screenshot I attached before.

Hello, I tested again and I think the software can't distinguish red and blue characters from the black background, no matter what software you are recording. Below is my test case:
I wrote some white, red and blue characters in the Microsoft Word with black page, and I recorded the page using 'demo video' mode. The first screenshot is what I see in Microsoft Word, and the second one is what I got by the captivate.
This is a simple test and if you are interested in that, you can have a try.
FYI.
Blue RGB(7,7,185) that I used in this case.
Red RGB(192,0,0) that I used in this case.
Font size: Calibri (Body) 10 or 11.

Is the bottom screenshot what you see in Captivate Edit mode or when it is published?
What slide quality settings are you using?

It looks the same when it's published and when it's in edit mode.

These are not the slide quality settings. Select the slide in question and check the Properties > Style > Quality setting.
Move it to 24bit High Quality and try publishing at that.

Hang on. I just re-read your first post and noticed you said you CAN get good quality resolution if you do slide by slide capture. So this issue is ONLY regarding Video Demo capture.
If using 32 bit video demo capture is not giving you high enough results, then I don't see any other way to improve it.

Thanks for your quick response, but I didn't misunderstand you. I do recapture the project after modifying the setting, but it doesn't work.
