Can you force the download and cache of embedded FLV's in Cap 7? This is the basic, primary problem I am trying to solve. bellow is a transcript of a conversation with the client, outlining some noticeable issues.
ISSUE 1 – Visible glitch between slides
· CLIENT: Also, there is a bit of a visual glitch going from section to section. Is there anything we can do to eliminate or reduce that? Would putting a fade transition on the actual Captivate screens help at all? There is a fade on the Conclusion slide right now.
· CAPTIVATE DEVELOPER: I’m working on this, fade may help, but I think it’s really just a matter of how the FLV’s load, this project is a bit tricky because you are loading FLV after FLV and there should be no gap, but there is inevitably a tiny one and I think that’s what you are seeing. I did some more research, and the FLV’s are NOT affected by the preloader, setting the preloader to 100% just means that the SWF container is 100% loaded before it starts, worth keeping at 100% but doesn’t help our between slides issue - will update as I figure out the exact best method. The FLV’s load progressively, which means they basically start playing (or "streaming") as soon as there is enough video in the cache to ensure smooth playback. For a really slow connection, this would definitely cause a pause, so I working on another method that may allow to force download and cache all FLV’s...
ISSUE 2 – Looping audio
· CLIENT: The last slide Conclusion – can it sit on the last frame somehow with the logo. And have the music start on the last slide again and just loop – so it doesn't go to a blank screen? Is that something I would have to go back to the animator for?
CAPTIVATE DEVELOPER: Yes, either we should be able to stop at the last frame of the FLV, or we can have it "play through" to another slide with that exact frame and loop the music (that might be easier from the music standpoint) would not need the animator for that.
Thanks for any guidance/advice.

The CLIENT asked: "Is that something I would have to go back to the animator for?"
So, are you using Captivate to 'stage' FLV's created by another developer?

I was working with FLV's made in Flash. They were intended to load one after the other. Captivate was was containing them.
