I am working on a responsive module in which I've created a knowledge check slide that contains 4 fill-in-the-blank questions. When I preview the slide in my browser, I'm not seeing any text captions I've inserted nor does the submit button appear. I'm not as worried about the text captions, but I need the submit button in order for learners to be able to continue. Learners have infinite attempts, and retry and incomplete messages should appear but they won't if they can't hit submit. Are there any solutions to ensuring that the submit button is visible and that captions appear when I preview in my browser (HTML5)? Thank you.

Are you talking about a default FIB question slide? Maybe you mean having 4 blanks in one question, you cannot have multiple FIB's o one slide. Did you delete any of the embedded objects? Those are the objects without an individual timeline, not in the master slides, not on the normal quiz slide. Those embedded objects are on top of the stack, if you inserted custom text captions on that slide, they will be beyond the embedded objects (question, answers....). Is the missing submit button the default submit button?
You are previewing the slide in different breakpoint views? Is the Submit button missing in all breakpoint views? Did you set up its location and size (or check them) in all breakpoint views with the Position Properties?
Last question: which exact version are you using? Latest one is 9.0.2.437.

Thanks for your reply. This is a default knowledge check slide. I'll try creating slides with only one FIB and see what happens. As far as I know, I haven't deleted any of the embedded objects. The missing submit button is the default submit button. What does a breakpoint view refer to? For example, "preview from this slide" vs "preview project"? I am using the version of Captivate that you list.

Hmmm, you mentioned that you are on a responsive project, which means you have to setup 3 to 5 breakpoint views. Did you only set up the primary view? Or was it a typo in your question, and are you creating a normal, blank project?
