We are having the following issues with our Fill In The Blank Quiz slide in a responisve fluid box project:

1. Drop spaces are not showing correctly (See insert A)

2. Drop down answers for insert A are showing in insert B.

3. Submit button has moved to the far right (template shows positioning is ok)

I blogged about the quizzing master slides' Fluid boxes: Tips for 'Fluid' Quiz Slides - Captivate blog

Since I almost never use a default FIB slide, my bad, I skipped extensive testing of that type.

At this moment I don't have time to spend on it, but I'm not really astonished it has issues with FIB. It is using the same master slide as T/F, MCQ. The answer area is in a normal fluid box. FIB with dropdown lists however do have overlapping objects, and those are not allowed in normal fluid boxes (pure 2D, which excludes several objects like highlight boxes, zoom object, click box...). If you have time, could you try to convert that answer fluid box to a static fluid box which does allow overlapping? If you check the master slide for Hotspot questions, which also needs overlapping objects, you'll see that a static fluid box is used there.

Thank you for the information which is very informative.

We have changed the way our answer reads to point form so that the drop down FTB answers can all now be seen and in the correct order. We did this as we established that more than one FTB answer on the same line could be the issue due to the fluid box. This is our slide and below how it now appears. The FTB answer panels aren't sitting perfectly still even with the static selected for the FB. Any more ideas on how to fix this?

SIghing... styling quiz slides is still a great pain, I could only offer some workarounds because it is more trial-and-error than anything else. Fluid boxes make it already a bit easier than Breakpoint view development for responsive projects, but still not ideal.

I fear that I'm repeating something; I always replace a FIB question by a custom made question, either by using Text Entry Boxes (mostly in combination with the CpExtra widget in case of HTML5 output) or Scrolling Text Interactions. In that case you don't have dropdown lists, only let users type in the answers. You can also use the dropdown interaction, in combination with variables and advanced actions.

Of course, with custom question slides you have a lot more work, and you cannot have all the features of default quiz slides for free (like scoring, Review status). But the FIB is a white-black scored question (all need to be correct), scoring is not such a problem in that case. Have a look at:
