Captivate 2017 Image and text box issues

Hi all,

I have been testing Captivate 2017. When I place an image in a fluid box, the image does not come in proportional (it's squished), and I have to resize it to where I think it's proportional. Is there an area where I can adjust the size of an image? (decide if I want it 100%? some other ratio? or if I decide I want it to stretch to fit?)

Is there a way to adjust the size of a text caption box? I have one in a fluid box with padding around it and because the box takes up so much of the fluid box (but there is little text) it wants to include a text flow over icon, which makes no sense with the amount of text in the caption box.

Thanks!

Well, the caption box issue is because I had the text set to align bottom. To make my design work, I had to set it to middle align with a return above the line of text I wanted lower.

After trying different things to make the image files work, I now have a new problem. I started with 4 fluid boxes  in vertical flow. The top box I filled with a color. All the boxes are set to stretch to fit, including the parent box. Now, for some reason, the top box is not flush to the top of the parent box (slide). I now have a thin white line at the top.  Any suggestions?

To say fluid boxes are frustrating is an understatement. Is anyone addressing these issues? Now, anytime I choose the italic version of the Typekit font I'm using (Open Sans), it makes ALL the text italic even if it shows it set to the light version. UGH!! And even if I duplicate a slide and don't alter the text heading at the top (in a fluid box) but make any change to the text in the fluid box below it, it changes on every slide. The fluid box does not move so it is not adjusting up or down and the text is the exact same but previews at two completely different sizes!!  Plus, it keeps trying to apply the margins I've set to one text box to a completely different one.  How is this making my job easier?

Hello,

I was trying to get more information about the issue you have mentioned with TypeKit fonts. We couldn't reproduce the issue with the above mentioned steps. Could you please provide us more information, if possible attach a project may be?

Thanks,

Just came back using Captivate, about to make a nice responsive project and getting extremely frustrated by these "fluid boxes". Honestly, it's pretty horrible. Totally unfluid lol
