Captivate 2017 - Learning Interactions & Timings

Community Beginner ,

I'm using Captivate 2017. I've included several Learning Interactions (Process circle, accordian, tabs, pyramid) to show processes in my elearning. But I'm struggling to work out the timings. I want the user to complete all the steps on the learning interaction before the slide moves to the next slide. But I can't see an option to have it be based on the user clicks. Hope someone can help me out!

There are static and interactive learning interactions, strange terminology I know.

As normal static objects the static interactions do not have a pausing point by default. You have to pause the slide which can be done by inserting an interactive object like a shape button, a normal button or a click box. It could be a 'Next' button, which the user can click when he feels he has finished with the interaction.

Thanks. That seems to have helped.

How do I know which learning interactions or static and which are interactive? Is there anything called out on the different options so the creator knows when they need to include a button or click box?

I have an explanatory table on my blog, but as I told it will be off line for a while. Thanks to all the less ethical CP-users.

You can check the Properties panel for the interaction: if the Actions tab is present, you have an interactive interaction. Same for the Reporting section. The games are interactive, most other interactions are static.
