Captivate 2017 question

I have not been able to acquire the new version of Captivate as of yet. Does anyone know if the new version allows for rollovers to work when published to HTML?

Thank you.

No, because mobile devices have no rollover functionality. If you publish to HTML5 and use a desktop/laptop the rollovers will often be functional although they are pointed at as being incompatible, but they'll not work on mobiles. Nothing has changed, doubt it will.

This has never been true for any courses I have published in HTML for SCORM 2004.

Perhaps you were creating Responsive Projects?  In that case there would be no option for using Rollover objects.  Their menu items are greyed out.

However, I just opened up a new Blank Project (not Responsive) and was able to insert a Smart Shape and turn it into a Smart Shape without issue.  I published as HTML5 and viewed working as expected in three different browsers (Edge, IE11 and Chrome).
