Captivate 2019 - Must click advance arrow twice to advance slide

I have the slide timing set to 1 second (the least I could set) and the slide Actions to Pause (on enter) and No Action on exit. When viewing online you have to click the advance arrow twice before it will advance to the next slide.

Any suggestions to avoid having to click twice?

Many thanks!

Are you referring to quiz question slides here, or ordinary content slides?

It sounds like perhaps you have some other interactive objects on these slides that is also pausing the timeline.  (E.g. a Click Box or button.) Your first click on the Play button to advance but then it hits the second pause point and pauses again.  That would be why it takes two clicks.

Can you show us a screenshot of the timeline objects on one of these slides?

Can you please show a screenshot of the Timeline? It is a bad idea to pause the slide On Enter, because it will prevent all timebased items to appear: audio, effects. Moreover, if you have another interactive object on the slide which probably has a pausing point. Pause On Enter will be released when clicking the play button, but can be paused again by a pausing point later on the timeline.

Please have a look at this blog post to learn more:

Another guess: you talk about clicking the 'Advance Arrow'; are you talking about the grey arrow which appears when opening the course, because AutoPlay is no longer allowed in browsers?
