Captivate 6 -

I opened captivate 6 remotely on a 32" monitor and when I re-opened it again on a 15" monitor, the screen is expanded and I can't see any of the windows.  They are clear off the screen.  Help.

Can you clear the Preferences, I'm not sure if the files to do this are already there in Captivate 6 (have no longer that version), but look if you have a subfolder 'utils' under the installation folder?

If not, tell me please which OS you are using?

I tried clearing the cache under preferences and tried resetting the window. I am still using Windows 7. Any further help would be appreciated.

You will have lost all customisation, forgot to tell that. If you want to keep custom items, maybe have a look at this post:

Captivate 8.0.1 Install? Keep your Customisation! - Captivate blog

It was written for a later version, but lot of it is also valid for your version.

There wasn't much customization to lose. Thank you anyway.

I hope my department decides to upgrade to Captivate v8 soon.

Captivate 6 has been buggy.

If you are on Windows, does pressing Alt+Spacebar, then R help?

Cheers... Rick

No. The problem isn't when I record. It is the entire application window that is expanded. Everything is clear off the screen from view.

Ummm, the keystroke I mentioned is a rather generic keystroke for a Windows machine that *SHOULD* be affecting the window. What it should do is to "restore" the window to a possibly smaller size.

Are you saying you tried it but it's somehow triggering the Recording?

Cheers...Rick
