Running Windows version of Captivate 8 on a Mac using VMWare. Anyone have experience with this -- if it works well or if there are problems?

Jay, I always run beta versions of CP in a VM, without any problems. As

long as you attribute enough RAM and disk space to the virtual machine of

course. I do not think this will be different for a Mac, I am on Win.

I've not run CP under a Mac/VMWare either, but echo Lieve's comments - especially on disk space. Don't be stingy! Captivate uses a lot of memory, as does VMWare I suppose, so be sure your Mac has a lot of RAM and set aside at least a lot of drive space for the VM to use as swap space.

Depending on how well VMWare works with the Mac video card, you may have some issues there...i.e. slow response in the captures. CP is intensive on the video cards, so a lot will ride on how well the VM driver layers work...

Would definitely be interested to know your results!
