I have a question slide that has audio attached and then when the question is answered, the correct or incorrect message appears. I have attached audio to those messages but the audio will not play when the message appears. Am I missing a setting? I have done this before in Captivate 7 and haven't had any issues.

Not sure, but I suspect you tweaked the question slide too much. All embedded objects (those who have no timeline) should remain on the slide unless you can uncheck them somewhere in a panel. The Submit button is not available from the start, and the pausing point of the question slide has been pushed towards the end. Leave at least some inactive part after the pausing point to allow the Submit process to be done correctly. The SFH shapes appear at that pausing point which is the last frame in this case, and the audio file has to be generated and played? The Submit process has two steps as you are probably aware of: first the captions appear, then the user has to click on the slide or press Y to have the Success/Last Attempt actions done.

Thanks for the response. I should have clarified. The Submit listed on the timeline is actually not the submit button. The actual click button is set to be transparent and the Submit image appears behind it after the regular slide audio is completed. This way the learner will listen to the entire audio prior to submitting the answer. I haven't altered the actual question buttons other then unchecking to show Clear, Next, and Back.
The I have tried multiple active/inactive ratios and that hasn't seemed to help. The setting I have above is what I had on my Captivate 7 file when it worked.
I have tried recreating the question slide but still have not had luck.
I think I may try creating the quiz in a separate file totally.
Thanks!

The Submit button is essential for each quiz slide; you cannot uncheck it anywhere. I am pretty sure that this is the cause of your issues. Please do not tell me that this is different from CP7; this behavior has not changed at all.

Thank you for the feedback. I have NOT removed the Submit Button. I have simply made it where it is a clear box with no label. The image that appears has no function.
