A few months ago I updated my Captivate 9 from v 9.0.0.223 to 9.0.2.437. I have now discovered a bug:
- Courses published from the updated 9 and CP 2017 do not work on Galaxy tablets that run Android 4.0.1.
- Our employee's tablets that run Android 6.x can run any of those courses.
The newer versions of Captivate publish jquery-1.11.3.min.js into the assets folder. My best guess is that the old Android OS doesn't support that js library. The older version of 9 output jquery-1.6.1.min.js. And I can actually "fix" my newer 9 courses by editing the published files. (a big PITA).
Just to make this a question: does anybody have a suggestion as to how to get the 2017 courses to run on the older Android? They absolutely require the newer jquery library, so my little hack doesn't work.
If not, then take this as a cautionary tale if you intend to publish courses for those older tablets.
Have something to add?
