Captivate 9 Assets: How to Download

New Here ,
Oct 12, 2016 Oct 12, 2016

Hello,

I selected the Assets icon within Captivate 9 and it then automatically downloaded the application: Adobe_eLearning_Asset_LC21 (.exe).  I believe it happened when I selected "Get Free e-Learning Assets". I double-clicked on the application file and then a screen opened to extract files to a defaulted folder (i.e. C:/User/Owner/Desktop/Adobe Elearning Assets). I clicked Next and then it downloaded a folder (...including packages, payloads, resources) as well as an Application called "Setup".  Then when I double-click on "Setup", a dialog box automatically pops up called 'Adobe Installer' which then initializes Installer. Once finished, a dialog box appears called: Adobe Elearning Assets All.  I have attached a screenshot.

What do I do from here?  Am I to click on Install? Am I to keep the location the same yet the files - which included the Setup application -- downloaded to the default folder noted above?  Why does it only include a "Characters 9.0 folder"?

Going through the tutorials, it indicates that once I click on the Assets icon within Captivate 9, a dialog box is to pop up with the choice over 30,000 eLearning assets.  I have attached a screenshot of that as well.  It DID NOT pop up on my screen...

After checking an hour later, I spotted the C:/Owner/Public/Documents/Adobe/eLearning Assets folder. I noticed the assets (which are default in Captivate 9) are listed; however, not the 30,000 indicated below.

Please help...

You have to download each wanted asse from their sitet, you'll never need 30,000 assets I imagine. You can search on tags.

Hello,

When I now click on "Get Free e-Learning Assets" it goes to the eLearning Brothers website with the ability to download.  It was not working at all before (just would have a blank white screen).

You would want to click 'Install,' when it is done it will likely have some descriptions of the content that you can download based on search criteria.
