Captivate 9 button question

New Here ,
Dec 29, 2015 Dec 29, 2015

so i'm building training in Captivate 9 and I've run into an issue with buttons. I have a button that I've written an advanced action for that simply tells the button to hide a box and show another box, when the button is selected. The problem is that the button will not follow the action and  it goes to another box that it wasn't assigned too in advanced actions. i have no idea how to fix this. I would be most grateful for some advice.

We need more details, and personally I also have some problems with the used terminology:

  1. Can you post a screenshot of the timeline of that slide, to be able to see which interactive objects are on that slide, and where their pausing point is.
  2. What do you mean by a 'box'? Is that a non-interactive object like an image, or a shape? Or are you pointing at a Text Entry Box, which is an interactive object?
  3. Can you post a screenshot of the advanced action? I hope the objects are labeled, especially those 'boxes' you are referring to?

Can you also check the exact version number? I am on 9.0.0.230 and use a Win system. Do you use Mac or Windows?

How did you test? Is that after publishing or during a Preview, and which Preview method did you use? Are you aiming at SWF or HTML publish? In the last case: is this a blank or a responsive project?
