Is there a way to create a customized score as feedback in a drag and drop interaction?
When the user drags the correct objects to the drop target and click submit I want to show the score obtained by selecting the correct objects.

Hi,
I added step-by-step instructions. Let me know if this helps.

I hope you are aware of the fact that D&D by default doesn't support partial scores, and I suspect that you want to build that score based on the number of correct drag actions? It is possible using the object actions as shown in the step-by-step instructions created by atone_x to fill a user variable with a score, but it will not be reported (with his work flow - there is a tweaking possibility) to a LMS. Moreover some important details are lacking (sorry, to add that correction):
I would have known answers to more questions before answering. What about the attempts that you want to allow? Do you need to reset the score for another attempt? Did you allow all objects to be dragged to all targets? Are you aware of the new InBuilt States for Drag&Drop objects, maybe you'll want to use those for a more interactive experience of the user if you do not have to report the score? Have a look at: Drag&Drop in 2016 with Captivate 9 - Captivate blog

Thanks Lilybiri! I merely answered the question at face value as simply as possible without redirecting the user to another blog or service. I apologize if that’s not an acceptable way to assist a fellow Captivate user on this forum.

Totally acceptable, sorry if I was misunderstood. It is not the first time that you post such a step-by-step tutorial, and they can be a great help to newbies.
In this case I wanted to add the missing information about unchecking Continue playing project for simple Object Actions. Especially for that step by step explanation, with great screenshots, such information could be crucial for newbies! It is not that easy to create a complete step-by-step tutorial, and it takes time. I always try to have it tested by a newbie, and in that case this would certainly have popped up, because not unchecking that option would lead to releasing the playhead for the first object action that is not set to 'No action'. Simple is great, try to specify which case you are explaining: in this case score only will appear when there is 'Success', not when the user failed to have all executed all correct drag actions.
Thanks for any help to users! If you want it that way, I will never add information to your step-by-step tutorials in the future.
