Captivate 9: Hot Spot Quiz Slide Text Formatting Options Disappeared...

New Here ,

Ok so this was working fine yesterday - no idea what happened here. C9 is not giving me formatting options on the Hotspot quiz slides I created last week. As you can see I was able to format the text last week but now the options aren't there. The displayed options do not effect the text but instead effect the text box. I can click in the text, highlight the text, and type new text - just no formatting. I'm sure that this is a simple fix but I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated!

I see the text cursor (which means you are in Edit mode) but indeed a lot of the Properties panel is missing. Can you try to reset the Workspace (it is labeled Classic, open that dropdown list).

Hi Lilybiri - I tried reseting the Classic workspace and it didn't fix the issue.

Is all that small text also included in the Question Text caption object?  It certainly looks that way.

If so, perhaps Captivate doesn't like having more than a certain number of characters in those particular captions.

Try moving the finer print to a separate character so that only "Click on the decision variable in the following scenario" is part of the question caption.

I would also try NOT having the full colon at the end of the question.  Sometimes Captivate reacts badly to having punctuation characters in some places.

Hi RodWard - that worked! I'll have to recreate the questions but that's no big deal. Thanks!
