Captivate 9 - how do I dock the timeline panel at the top?

I'm using Captivate 9.  I've undocked the timeline from the bottom.  I have been able to dock it to the left, right or bottom, but I really want it at the top.  As I move the timeline panel around the top I'm not getting the blue line that shows I can dock it.  I can leave it floating, however when I view Properties, Timing etc on the left, the slide panel jumps and puts the slide partly below the timeline.  I'm thinking that if the timeline is docked at the top, the slide panel won't jump and I won't have to keep moving the slide so that I can see it all again.  Can anyone help please?

Unlike some other Adobe applications, Captivate doesn't give you the option to dock the timeline at the top.  It's either at the bottom or floating, that's all.

Oh, that's a real shame.  Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Any idea how I can stop the slide pane from jumping and partly hiding the slide below my timeline (when it's at the top) please?

Hmm, I never did see a docking station at the top in any Adobe application. Can you refresh my memory?

Sorry, Flash, now Animate CC, has the possibility to dock at the top.

With the change of UI (started with CP8) customisability of the workspaces has taken a step backwards, even in the expert mode. You cannot panels to an icon anymore, when you minimize panels to their title bar, they take up so much real estate. I have often the Advanced Interaction panel open as floating panel, but minimized and since that title bar is so wide, I keep moving it around all the time to prevent of covering up other panels, or menu. The Toolbar (formerly Toolbox) is fixed at the top and so BIG. If we could reduce those icons and make that toolbar into a vertical floating toolbar.

You are just bumping onto the same limitations of workspaces as other users. Please, log some feature requests!

Go to Preferences > General Settings and click the checkbox "Enable custom workspaces/panel undocking (you will need to restart Captivate).”

Still with that Expert UI, there is NO docking station on top. You can only make the Timeline floating and post it at the top, but that means it will cover up part of the stage, unless you resize it as well.
