Captivate 9 question re: responsive design

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2015 Nov 18, 2015

Hi, I'm currently using Captivate 5.5 (dinosaur version, apparently).  The software that I'm trying to screen capture has just changed to responsive design, so when I go to record, the "snap to window" feature causes my screen to resize to appear as if I'm recording on a Tablet - essentially, I'm unable to record the desktop experience.

I'm trying to get my company to pay for an upgrade, so I need to know if this would still happen with Captivate 9.  If the website/software that you're trying to record has responsive design, will Captivate 9 "force" the screen recording into a particular size - or can I record the full screen?

Thanks for any help!

That's hard to say.  But the easiest way for you to find out for yourself is just to download the Captivate 9 Trial version and get that installed.  Then you can play with it in your specific environment to try and capture your specific application and see what happens.  You have 30 days to work out if it will solve the issue or not.
