captivate 9 responsive breakpoints - reordering?

I'm currently building a responsive project with 4 breakpoints: Desktop Landscape (1024 x 627) – iPad Portrait (768 x 928) – iPhone Landscape (667 x 410) – iPhone Portrait (375 x 559)  *The second breakpoint (tablet landscape) is not being used in this project.

It occurred to me as I'm working, since the settings flow downstream, that it would be helpful to have the breakpoints be organized by orientation vs. alternating orientations.

Currently, it's Landscape –> Portrait –> Landscape –> Portrait

It would be hugely helpful if it was: Landscape –> Landscape –> Portrait –> Portrait

That way the Desktop Landscape settings could flow to the iPhone Landscape, which would then flow to the iPad Portrait (make any necessary adjustments for the change of orientation) and then flow to iPhone Portrait. This would result in really only one area to make an orientation-based adjustment.

As it is, with the alternating orientations, I have to make orientation-based layout adjustments 3x… not the most efficient of workflows.

I tried to "trick the system" by setting custom sizes for the breakpoints to match these viewport sizes, in this more logical order, but there appears to be minimum sizes for each standard breakpoint. I an increase the width but I can't decrease it. Is there a workaround or a way to setup these breakpoints with these custom sizes and custom order?? I tried to add a breakpoint in the second position, between Desktop and Tablet Portrait, which would be my iPhone Landscape, but Captivate won't let me decrease the width for that breakpoint below 818px.

Any suggestions? If this is not possible, I would suggest it be considered in the next version as it would speed up workflow efficiency.

Thanks!

Your suggestion has merit but this is NOT the right place to submit it.  Adobe has a bug reporting and enhancement page somewhere on their website.

I suggest you submit your idea there.

Thank you, Rod. My apologies… I wasn't sure if it was a question that could be answered with a current solution (if I was just missing how to do this) or a suggestion for a future enhancement. I will post it as a suggestion in the appropriate forum.
