Captivate 9: Stuck on quiz! << >> buttons, how to show upon answering correctly?

Hello!

I would like to be able to show the forward / back buttons upon success of a question. I feel dumb, but for some reason cannot figure out how to!

There's a problem where if I answer a question correctly, go forward, and then back to the correctly answered slide, I am stuck! Any ideas? I feel like the <<  >> would solve this maybe? The clear button doesn't do anything after I have answered the question.

Quiz slides have very strict rules, try to understand them first of all. I planned to upgrade this old post (most frequented on my blog) with changes in CP9, but didn't find time and meanwhile CP2017 is released:

Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

Unless you want to choose the option "Submit All" in Quiz Preferences, I strongly recommend not to allow Backwards movement in Quiz slides because users will be stuck as you experienced. The buttons "<<" and ">>" are the new Back/Next buttons that will only appear during Preview if you allow preview. They will never appear during a Quiz attempt.

The Submit process has two steps, and there is no need for a Next button:

  1. User clicks Submit, the playhead is not released but the feedback messages appear: Correct (if answer correct), Failure or Incomplete, Retry (if more attempts than 1 is allowed and answer was incorrect, user can enter a new answer). Correct and Failure messages indicate what the user has to do after having read the message
  2. User clicks on the slide or presses Y: the playhead is released and the actions defined for Correct/Incorrect are done.
