Captivate Licence PC broke / Captivate Lizenz PC kaputt

Guten Tag,

ich wollte wissen, was mit einer Captivate-Lizenz passiert (bsp. Captivate 8 oder 9 Lizenz ohne Adobe-Acount) wenn der Computer, auf dem die Lizenz installiert ist, kaputt geht und man Captivate nicht mehr vorher deaktivieren konnte.

Wir hatten diesen Fall vor kurzem. Ein PC ging kaputt und die Captivate Lizenzen konnten nicht mehr deaktiviert werden. Bei der Creative-Cloud war das im Nachhinen kein problem - hier kann man einfach über den Online-Dienst die Lizenz auf dem betreffenden PC deaktivieren und nachdem man den PC neu aufgesetzt die Creative-Cloud erneut aktivieren.

Aber wie verhält es sich mit Captivate-Lizenzen die nur per Seriennummer aktiviert wurden?

I wanted to know what happens with a Captivate license (e. g. Captivate 8 or 9 license without Adobe-Acount) if the computer on which the license is installed breaks down and you could not disable Captivate before.

We had this case recently. A PC broke down and the Captivate licenses could not be deactivated anymore. This was no problem for the Creative-Cloud - here you can deactivate the license on the respective PC via the online service and reactivate the Creative-Cloud after you have installed the PC again.

But what about Captivate licenses that are only activated by serial number?

You are allowed to have two activations of the license on two systems, but you are probably aware of that (sorry I don't dare to answer in German, which I understand well).

To release an activation in the situation you described, you'll have to contact Adobe. If you post that question here in the forum and I am around, will try to get you in touch with a staff member that could help you out if the official channels are not available.

es gibt also keinerlei Möglichkeit diesen Fall vor Ort zu lösen ohne Adobe zu fragen?

Wenn wir einen solchen Fall erneut haben sollten, wäre Adobe dann auch in der Lage nur eine bestimmte Lizenz (die des kaputten PCs) zu resetten oder müsste dann der gesamte Account resettet werden?

So there is no way to solve this case on site without asking Adobe?

If we should have such a case again, would Adobe be able to reset only a specific license (the license of the broken PC) or would the entire account have to be reset?

Only the deactivation of Captivate would be needed, not resetting the account. Captivate is independent of any other Adobe application, like CC subscription.

Kann Adobe dann feststellen, welcher PC mit welchem Schlüssel verknüpft ist?

Worum es mir geht: Wird der Gerätename des PCs angezeigt? Damit nicht fälschlicherweise der falsche Schlüssel deaktiviert wird?

What I am interested in: Is the device name of the PC displayed? So that the wrong key is not deactivated incorrectly?

Serial numbers (because you didn't answer my initial question about the type of subscription I suppose you have a perpetual license) are linked to an application. I am just a user, but suppose that Adobe's database stores the number of activations for that serial number. It doesn't matter which activation is linked to which system or am I wrong?

Beware: I am just a user like you, do not work for Adobe.
