I am a new user of Captivate 2019 on an iMAc using OS 10.15.7

One of the reasons for adopting Captivate was to be able easily create video lectures using PowerPoint.  This does indeed works very easily. I use the facility to capture myslef speaking whilst presenting the slides.

However, when published to an MP4 file the sound quite quickly moves our of synchronisation with the video.  This happens very quickly, within the fist few minutes of the recording.

Is there any simple solution to this problem?

Did you record this as a Video Demo or as a Slide by Slide presentation with voiceover?

OK, then the problem may be that your audio track is one single big file spread over multiple slides.  You can often get much better synchronisation by going into each slide and moving the audio clip away from the ends by as little as one tenth of a second.  This forces Captivate to split the audio up into separate clips for each slide and that means that the audio clip gets downloaded and begins anew at the beginning of each slide.  Try that and republish.

If you really only need passive video, use the Video Demo feature and record the playing PPT at the same time as your narration.
