I just installed Captivate 9 and I am on a Mac.  I went to applications, double clicked on the Captivate folder and then I have no idea what to do next.  Help 🙂

Oops, never had a Mac. Do they not install automatically launch shortcuts somewhere? In the folder you should look for the executable, on Windows it is AdobeCaptivate.exe, but I think it has another extension on Mac. Hope for you that a Mac CP-user will pop in.

Our IT helped me.  It looks like java did not load correctly so it did not launch properly.  Here's how we got it to work:

  1. We reloaded java.
  2. I used the launchpad to add Captivate (Cp) to my dock.
  3. Double clicked the CP symbol on my dock.
  4. Then it launched correctly.

Thank you for the speedy response.

Cheers

OK, so you call it a CP symbol, Win-users call it a shortcut key. Fine that you got it working. Enjoy using Captivate.

I called it a CP symbol because there were several other Captivate choices I could have made. You are correct that it should be called a shortcut or an application depending on how you find it. Thanks again.
