Capturing Short Answers from Captivate 9 in Connect

Community Beginner ,
Feb 16, 2016 Feb 16, 2016

I am trying to capture quiz results from a Captivate 9 quiz in Adobe Connect. The quiz contains graded questions, which isn't a problem. But it also contains short answer questions, which can't be graded and must be evaluated by judges. How can I capture the students' responses and get these responses in a format my judges can read, using Adobe Connect?

Thanks!

A user recently told me that they were using Short Answer question slides set to Survey and their LMS picked up the user responses fine. In a Survey question there is no correct or incorrect answer, however the answer can be written to the data that most LMSs will accept and log in their database.

I've never tried to use Adobe Connect as an LMS, but perhaps you could test this out for yourself.

Thanks for the response, Rod; sorry I didn't respond sooner. I've been testing, and found how to get short answer responses. Thanks.

Hi there! Is there any chance to share your solution of this problem?

The thing is I'm going to review the answers before grading them. Will be highly appreciated

Hi there,

I had the same question, but found the answer easily, so I will share on behalf of tinydrtim. The way you get short answers to not be scored in the system is by going into Properties and switch over to the Quiz tab  --> look under the first selection which is "Type" and changing it from Graded to Survey. It will then only want to see that the response field has something typed in it. If you decide to use the Knowledge Check questions, it is even easier. You can just only check "Incomplete". Hope this helps all.
