Changing Custom Feedback Location for Imported Pool Questions (Captivate Classic)

I am hoping someone can assist me and apologies if I am overlooking something obvious. I have created a game in Captivate Classic which has 50 plus multiple choice questions in the question pool. I am importing them via a CSV file which includes custom/advanced feedback for each response.  When the questions are presented, the imported custom feedback appears in the upper right hand corner but I would like it in a different area of the screen with specific formatting. I am hoping to avoid going into every question and reformatting each custom/advanced response to appear where and how I want it displayed.  Is there an easy way to modify the theme to do this?  I know I can modify the master slide formats for the the theme but I do not see a spot to format the custom/advanced feedback for specific responses unless I am missing it! Thanks for any assistance.

It is always better to know the exact version you are using. The version number can be found under Help, About Captivate. Reason: some bugs only appear in version 11.8.2 or 11.8.3 but not in version 11.5.5 which in theory is not Captivate Classic.

All themes in Captivate before version 12 have 5 dedicated master slides to quizzes for non-responsive projects. I hope you are not in a responsive project with Fluid Boxes because there it is almost impossble to move the feedback messages which are all in a static fluid box. But from your description it should be a non-responsive project. Check the master slides for the type of questions you are using and edit location and eventually the size of the feedback messages. It is a bit strange that you talk about Captivate Classic, because in that version 11.8.2/11.8.3 the feedback messages are stacked below the answers.

This makes me suspect that you are not talking about the normal feedback messages but about advanced answer setup for MCQ with one correct answer.

Sorry about all those questions but they are important.

Thanks for the quick response. I am using Captivate 11.5.5.553.  I thought this was Captivate Classic but maybe it is not.  (I also have the new version but am unable to do all the advanced actions and Javascript programming I am needing for this project.) I will see if I can change the title of my post to avoid confusion. My application says there are no updates and my version is up to date  although you are mentioning a higher version of 11.8.2/11.8.3. but perhaps I am just confused about what constitutes Captivate Classic.  It is a non-responsive project.  At any rate, I am talking about Advanced/Custom feedback messages which I am importing into the question pool using the pipe character where I can have individual feedback for each response.  These are all indeed multiple choice questions with one correct response. I did look at the master slide but do not see a spot where i can choose the location or formatting for these advanced/custom feedback items. I hope that makes it clearer!

Terminology has always been a problem. I would prefer Captivate Light and Captivate Professional, because that is the real situation at ths moment.

You are on a very stable version, my preferred one.

Those advanced answers are weird, they appear indeed rather randomly top right of the slide. Although I have explored quizzes in-depth (over 50 blog posts) I could never figure out why, and how to change the default location and size. For sure not in the quizzing master slides.

For the styling: it is using the Hint shape style. If you don't use that style for real hints, just edit it in the Object Style manager or based on an example (using the hotdog/hamburger menu, Apply to....). Since you import by CSV, duplication of a well styled quiz slide is not possible. I have often asked the team about this feature, but it is not at all well explained. Maybe I will explore some more, trying with the Lock Style and Position, but have not much hope.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I wil check out the Hint Style and perhaps I can get it to look a little more appealing even if it remains in the upper right.  I am not using Hints so that tip is helpful If I discover anything further too, I will post it here!
