Changing file types

I have just begun using Captivate and when I went to publish my first 12 files, I published them in .cptx. I have found that these will only play if you have Captivate on your computer. How do I transfer and republish these Captivate PowerPoint presentations into mp4 mode so that they will play on all of my teams computers?

You simply didn't publish, you just save the raw file, which has indeed the extension cptx.

Publish can be done with the Publish button in the Big Button Bar on top. Do you really want to publish to passive video, which is the mp4 format? That means you'll lose all interactivity, sure you didn't add some interactivity?
