Hi all... I am trying again for help with the same problem. Imagine if you will - a course of 50 slides. At slide 10, the course becomes a "Try me", created using the training recording method in Captivate... Click boxes were placed on spots on the screen capture, if the learner clicks them correctly, they go to the next page.
This Try Me part of the course lasts 10 slides. After which, the learner is prompted to click the next button on the skin, and picks up with slide 21 (don't shoot me if my math is wrong)...for more content delivery.
What keeps happening is that when clicking a click box on - say slide 15 - that should send the learner to slide 16, the course suddenly goes to slide 30... or sometimes even, slide 2! This is random... It may send them to the wrong page after clicking on a click box on slide 11...(which should go to slide 12) or, it might go almost to the end of the Try Me and randomly sent them out on slide 18 (for example)...
All of the click boxes in the Try Me portion are set to Go To Next Page. Can anyone shed any light on what might be the problem? Is it that they are going to Next Page? Should I be using Jump to Slide and use the name of the slide? Would that matter? Or, should I replace the click boxes with buttons? Would that make a difference? I have no idea why this is happening... When I test the Try Me slides as a stand-alone course, they work fine. It's only when they were imported into the larger course that I am having this problem.
I'm pulling out what little hair I have left to fix this... anyone have any idea what's happening here? (oh, and there are NO quiz pages in the Try Me part of the lesson...) thanks in advance.
LTH

I don't think replacing click boxes by buttons will change anything, neither will the change of action be successful. Did you check the Branching view, if everything is set up correctly?

Sounds like your project could perhaps be corrupted. It certainly seems confused.
Try copying all slides into a new project shell of the same size. That will force Captivate to set up all of the unique IDs for each slide and object. You will need to go back through all of the click boxes to make sure their actions are still set to Go to Next Slide. But that might fix your issue.
