HI
I could use some help troubleshooting closed captioning background colour.
1. for some reason when i select certain background colours, for example black, it will not allow me to select it. why?
2. is there a spot where i can select a background colour that would be applied to all slides in the file? I have been experimenting with different colours on different slides and i thought that it did not matter on which slide i changed the background colour as i thought it would apply it to all slides, but now i am seeing different background colours on different slides. how can i correct this so that all slides show the same colour?
thanks so much, Marion

Can you describe your work flow? I never had a problem selecting a color nor setting the alpha for the whole project.
Mostly I am in Slide Notes, use the Closed Caption button, to open the Audio dialog box, then use the CC Project settings.
My version is 9.0.2.437.

HI
Thank you for your quick reply!
I think I figured out what the problem was. When I changed the setting of the very first closed captioned slide, it applied the settings to all slides going forward.... so I think that when I changed the settings of other slides after that, those settings got applied from that point forward cancelling out the initial setting. So the trick is to apply and/or change the settings on the first slide only if you want those setting to be applied across all slides. Also, I discovered that if you want Black for the background colour, you need to change the"Alpha" setting to 100%; otherwise it comes out grey.
I think I'm all set now. Thanks.... Marion
