Community Notifications

I just submitted this as a feature request, however if anyone knows how you can turn off the notifications on the Community icon in the toolbar, I would be thankful. While most of the time it's useful, I can see it being a distraction when I have to get down to completing my projects.

Use the Jive forums instead of the Community portal.

I'm referring to the icon that is located within Adobe Captivate 9.0.2.

If I could temporarily turn off notifications, much like temporarily closing my email application, while working, it would be easier to ignore the Community when I have other things I need to get done.

I would also like it to go away. Mine is now up to 3 but I don't have any alerts when accessing this through a web browser.

Yeah that's another issue. I'm not sure what action needs to be done to take the notifications away. I've looked at each thread but the notifications seem to remain.

I simply have logged out of community from Captivate and only login through my web browser. This seems to be the solution that works best for me.

I prefer to get email notifications from the Jive Captivate User Forum.  The email shows the complete text of what the poster said for each thread.  Then I can see whether or not I need to chime in.

I find that approach easier than trawling through all the same threads in the Community forum.  But everyone's different...

Same for me, although I use the Jive forums directly a lot as well: easy to filter, have my Inbox there, etc.
