Continue project after click on link

Hi, I created a project where there are some resources on the menu page, this menu page has links to different sections of the course and also has links to an specific html page.

Now, If I click on the link that goes to the html page to ready an article, when I get back to the course menu and click on the links to continue the course freezes. I have tried the Continue playing project option that comes within the links menu. But the thing is that now that I click on the link, if I take a couple of minutes reading the external html, when I go back to the course, the main menu is no longer there and the course keeps on going.

Does anyone knows how to make the users click on the link and let the course keep playing but stays on that menu slide so the user can click and select which option they want to choose.

We have tried a lot of things and this project is getting extended because of this reason.

At the end of the project, place a clickspot (button) that pauses the project until clicked.

Leave your other settings the way they are.

So when the user clicks the external link, the project continues...to that button at the end and the timeline should stop.

It could be a 'Continue' button, or just an empty button...depending on whether you have a playback control bar as part of the project.

Hi Erick,

Thanks a lot for your input, I forgot to mention that we do have a button with the pause, but our users were going to click several times before continuing so that part was not working.

However we found a solution, we set an advanced action to the button that directs to the link, in this advanced action (Open URL or file) the user can click as many times as they want to and yet the project will not automatically continue until they click on the menu option.
