Hi, hoping someone has a fix for this. Couldn't find anything.
I am updating content in some files that were in CP7. I use the slidelets to show and hide short amounts of descriptive text. They work fine in CP7 and previous versions. However, once I publish the file in CP8 the hot spots stop working. They look the same inside Captivate and I see the same elements on the timeline. However, I notice on the stage and off on stage right are three phantom boxes that appear and do nothing. I am convince these are the source of the problem, but no idea how to fix/delete them. They don't appear in the timeline and I cannot select them. Posted a picture here with an arrow pointing at one of them.
Thanks.
Thoughts?

That blue box looks like a hit area for a rollover object. I suggest you delete your slidelets and just use rollover text captions or rollover Smart Shapes instead.
But be aware that none of those rollover objects will be deemed compatible with HTML5 output. So if it was to HTML5 that you were publishing, redesign your interaction to use clicks instead.

Thanks, Rod.
I know the boxes look like an active hit area. Point is, I did not put those there and cannot delete them. They just showed up when I saved the project in CP8.
I have several files that are similar, which I used slidelets (or movie clips as I think of them) for hiding and showing text. The reason was these were originally created in CP3 and I had no programming options. Now I just create hide/show test boxes so there is no separate timeline.
If I am going to take the time to remake the content, I will probably choose that since the students don't like to hover for extended periods of time over an object. So, would I be safe later publishing to HTML5 with hide/show advanced actions? (Right now these are published as swfs. But we may need to move to HTML5 in the future.)
Thanks.

Hi,
Would it be possible for you to share the project with that particular slide so that we can investigate on our end.
You can upload it to a shared location (eg Dropbox) and send the link to murugath@adobe.com
Thanks,
Rahinie.

Hi,
I don't have a drop box. The file size is relatively small, though: 3.2 megs. I can zip it and e-mail it if you want.
Thanks.

Hi Vick,
It seems to be an upgrade issue.Hit area of slidelet is misplaced.
Can you delete all the 3 rollover slidelet and insert new one.
Thanks,
Rahinie.
